The Best Of……. Breakfast
Lots of travel blogs carry “best of” lists, like the top ten things to do in so-and-so, the top ten sights in wherever. We haven’t done much of that, so as we build up firstly to our next trip to Greece (16 days and counting) and secondly to our World trip next year, we thought we’d have a go at a few different ones. Next up: Greece. Hopefully.
Our third trip to Greece together is just three weeks away now, just three weeks till we hit sun, sand, retsina, fresh fish, dolmades, village wine and all the other things which Greece has to offer. So why “hopefully “? Well, because here in England industrial action is looming and airport security staff have voted to strike at regular intervals through the peak season, with our chosen airport of Gatwick due to be hit. We can’t relate to a mentality which believes that the right way to draw attention to a pay dispute is to disrupt the lives of innocent people, especially by damaging the annual holiday they have worked…

Sunsets and sunrises in Molfetta
We seem to have developed a habit of waking very early on this trip. It has its advantages. Our apartment balcony here faces due East, straight out across the deep blue Adriatic and in direct line of the awesome sunrises. Come evening time, the people of Molfetta gather at the harbour, in or in front of Bar Duomo, to watch the amazing sunsets across the calm waters of the inner harbour. Rarely are both so dramatic in the same location. Here’s some examples:-
